POSTED by EHIMONDWhen WE talk about the new media, WE simply can't forget the commercial aspect, for the content providers (money is involved) and consumers alike (reason being we find them flying over our TV screen every minute).Whether we like it or not, adverts have now become an integral part of our life; in most cases, it graciously & beautifully sits everywhere around us -- papers, buildings and structures, cars, even on clothes we wear! Infact, this piece you are busy reading at the moment might just be one of such! The power of persuasion an advert wields is so amazing! Yet, adverts can be annoying, especially when it comes up at a wrong timing, for example, in the middle of an interesting show, soap or sit-com, otherwise, adverts can be so endearing, in some cases we find ourselves looking out for adverts not just because of the dramatization (in TVs) involved but for the content & presentation.Copywriters in turn have now devised ways of catching and holding the attention of their target audience...they write funny copies to entertain & educate while informing viewers by appealing to our sense of humour, guilt, belonging and pity. Recently, we put together a list of TV adverts that will simply lighten your mood and never fail to make you laugh.HYPO BLEACHHere, a group of pressmen and admirers in white waits in line to see a superstar. He alights with a wide smile in a sparkling pure white attire which appeared blindfolding to the eagerly waiting crowd, each dazed, covered their eyes, scampered and struggled for a sunglass. On the second event, the crowd came waiting in sparkling white, each armed with his own sun glass. The superstar, dressed in his usual sparkling white, alights to unexpectedly come face-to-face with sparkles of blazing white. He guarded his eyes with his palm and lo, it's now his own turn to scamper for a sunglass. He smiles to the crowd in salutation for a lesson well learnt...funny, isn't it?*PEAK.The strenght and vitality you get from taking not just any kind of milk, but Peak milk was demonstrated in one of its adverts.A heavy weight champion weight lifter comes on stage to amuse his teeming fans. He makes an attempt to lift the weight stand that was sitting graciously on the elevated podium, just in front of the crowd but however could not bear the heaviness as he couldn't lift the said weight above the chest region, so he leaves disappointed. Now, the funny part.Meanwhile, a young cleaner was mopping the floor back stage. He cleans the floor to the area where the weight was sitting. Unknowingly to him, the curtain has been lifted and the spectators watched on. While he held the mopping stick with one hand, he raises the weight using the other hand with no stress so he could clean the underneath. The crowd was astonished seeing someone lifting up the same heavy weight with just an arm! The young lad only realized what he had done when the crowd let out a suprising yell. Apparently, he looked at the crowd suprisingly as he never realized what he just did (he never even realized he was LIVE on stage!)So...make sure you always drink milk so you can do extra-ordinary things just like this guy :)*MTN SIMPLE SURFA group of press men -- an interviewer, cameraman and the soundman -- takes to the street to find out how long it takes an average user to consume one (1) gigabyte of worth of data. After series of interviews, in which respondents gave short answers, they came to a stop in an empty classroom, with a professor of Mathematics.''How long does it take you to use up 1 gigabyte worth of data?", they asked."In order to arrive at the answer, ..." the professor replied and took to the magnetic board and started 'initiating' mathematics formulaes which resulted into a chain of mathematical equations and calculations. (simple question o! A guess would have even answered it all!)By the time the professor came to an end of his strings of calculations, the cameraman and the soundman had rested their head on the front row desk and simply fallen into a deep sleep while the interviewer sat in the middle, already dozing off...:)...to be continued.
