All court sessions in Hertford County are cancelled during the week of June 29 through July 3 due to routine preventative maintenance, according to Chief District Court Judge Brenda Branch.
Only emergency hearings will be held.

All non-essential Northampton County local government offices will close today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. due to a power outage caused by this accident on Jefferson Street in front of the courthouse that impacted a power pole and electrical/phone lines.
