It's okay to take time for YOU when you need it. You cannot pour from an empty cup, and I think very often we forget that, which leads to giving and giving and giving until we have nothing left. If this maternity leave has taught me one thing, it is this. Do what you need to do for you, and if other people don't like it, well then you don't need that negativity in your life. I'm not saying be lazy, but when you're worn out and feel like you got hit by a bus, don't keep trying to keep trying. It just won't work. Take a walk, grab a bowl of your favorite ice cream, or snuggle up with your favorite book. Do what helps YOU get back to YOU.

We all have a bit more time on our hands in business, and I wanted to offer you a great FREE way to take advantage of that.
I'm now offering FREE website audits through the end of March. Now more than ever businesses are focusing on their online and digital presence. Even in the middle of a pandemic customers are still able to shop online. So what are some of the reasons you may want to get a website audit? Get answers to these questions:
↦ Does my website immediately and clearly state who I am & how I serve my audience?
↦ Am I providing value to my audience BEFORE I try selling to them? I can’t stress this one enough!
↦ Does my site have dead ends? Meaning will a visitor get to the bottom of any given page & not have a clear action or next step to take.
↦ Am I giving my visitors information overload? (Yes, your website can have too much information) Keep it simple, keep it punchy!
↦ Is my website marketing in line with my current business priorities? Are you in a service or product pre-launch phase? Is your sales funnel opt in clearly displayed across numerous places on your site?
Your website needs to be more than just an aesthetically pleasing compilation of pages with your logo on it! Your website should work FOR your business! Grab YOUR FREE audit by tapping the link in my bio today [@blkwtrdesign | https://buff.ly/3ajJWSD ]. No strings attached.

Stuck working from home? Check out my tried and true work-from-home hacks on how I stay productive at the home office...

1. Stick to your regular routine

During your normal work week, you get up, you shower, make coffee, pack lunch (hopefully 😉 ) and head out the door to go to work. You have a commute and a clear divide between work and home.

To make the transition to working at home easier, set up a proper work area. This area should be in a space in your home that is as distraction-free as humanly possible. Work-only related things happen in this space, and nothing else. Of course, in the beginning days of working at home, you’ll need to give yourself a little grace. Distractions happen, but having a designated WORK area alleviates some of that. Once you train your brain to focus on your work, you’ll find this will get easier and easier.

2. Practice safe internet browsing

Laptops are lifelines when full offices are being asked to work from home, so keep them in tip-top working condition....

There’s a lot going on these days, and that creeping fearful feeling I’ve noticed has come back into many of our lives (guilty). I’m not saying we shouldn’t be smart stewards of our health and wellness, but living in fear can’t be our only option here. And it’s not.
We can choose to live in hope, trusting that through God we will be protected, from the virus itself and from the hysteria surrounding it. God is not timid, cowardly, shy, fearful, afraid, nervous or worried about anything and because you have the Spirit of God living inside of you, neither should you. ♥️
I have a lot of thoughts about what’s going on in the world. Some of them fearful, anxious, and worrisome, but when these creep up, I give it up to God. Isn’t it wonderful we have an all - powerful force on our side ♥️

The Blkwtr Story

Blkwtr Web Design is a web design company for wellpreneurs founded by Lindsey in 2017. Prior to that, Lindsey was designing websites for everyone, with no specific niche. Being passionate about natural remedies, and staying healthy, Lindsey decided that she wanted to use her talents to help those in the industry make a bigger impact and have a greater reach.

Thus, Blkwtr was born.

The term “blkwtr” comes from the original “blackwater baths” in Alden, NY, Lindsey’s hometown. It’s a nod towards the natural healing powers of the mineral baths that tourists used to travel here for.

As a full time web designer, my business thrives on word of mouth, and referrals, so my top priority is ALWAYS to exceed expectations. Your website is the face of your business, and I want to help you create the most effective website we can for it.
