Not everyone loves what they do. Being a graphic designer and knowing so many other designers, it would seem to be a creative job, maybe the job of an artist. Yeah, graphic artist. That’s a thing.
But really, for me it’s all about solving problems. I love figuring out how to say what needs to be said, how to fit the information in the available space and how to do it the most cost-effective way. These principles apply when working on business marketing materials as well as wedding invitations.
I never dreamed of being a graphic designer. It seemed reasonable, practical and useful. So I went to college, made some amazing friends (though we never see each other, ‘cause we’re all busy with work and kids and such!), and started a career in graphic design.
Versatile Designs allows me to help so many people in so many different ways. This business also allows me to keep my schedule flexible for my kids and my husband. We live on a farm, and though I may not get to help as much as I want to, I’m grateful that I can help when I need to.
You know, God has plans for you. Just like He has plans for me. Plans much bigger than I dreamed or ever believed I may be worthy of receiving or achieving. Yet here I am, blessed beyond measure, equipped with the talents and skills to complete what God is calling me to.
We love because He first loved us. And I love being a wife, a mom and a business owner in a great community.
