Week 6 of social distancing (but who's counting 😉 ) Family time has been rewarding, but distancing from extended family, grandparents, friends, classmates, teachers, and coworkers can really make life feel lonely! I've been thinking of the nursing home residents and how hard this must be for them. Here's a project that started out as something to do with my kids, but with the number of residents, we sure could use your help to make them smile! 😊 If you'd like to join us, I created some easy fillable cards for adults and kids to color (or color your own on the blank template). Fill in the message 👉🏻 We're Sending You: "smiles • a rainbow • a wish • a joke, • hugs • hope • thanks • love • smiles", etc! Get creative! Just print, color and drop it off in the envelope at the top of the back steps at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Algona by Friday, April 25. Each page has 2 cards (I can cut them apart for you). I'll mail them together to make sure each resident receives one. This is meant to be easy, and even coloring one card will make a difference!
Shoot me a message if you're out of town and would like to participate...you can color, take a photo and email/message it to me. Let's flood the nursing homes with well wishes ☀ 💕
