Thinking these two won’t need to be socially distancing... 😉🥰
Custom sewing & embroidery for all with a small collection of ready-to-ship items at
Some families have small gymnasts, scientists, or artists. Our family ... we had a droolist. Our third child was a soaking wet mess from 4 months until he was over two years, and I developed some super absorbent dribble bibs to save myself some laundry! Fortunately for me, my solution was able to become a solution for others, and my sewing and embroidery work grew from there. Currently, most of my sewing and embroidery work is done to order with some ready-to-ship pieces from the original line of my dribble bib & baby accessory collection at Etsy (http://droolist.etsy.com). My favorite work is custom work -- bibs for adults and older kids with special needs, special outfits, creative solutions, and "I saw this on Pinterest" project work! From memory animals and pillows to baptismal dresses, and from baby gift sets to birthday shirts, and everything between, I love working to make unique items that are fashionable, functional, and -- of course -- drool-worthy! I look forward to hearing from you! Britta Sincerely, Britta
Thinking these two won’t need to be socially distancing... 😉🥰
What a season of life. We are all safe and -relatively- sane. There have been quilts made and masks made, celebrations of birthdays, lives well lived, teeth lost. I’ve been grateful to be part of your milestones throughout —graduations, first communions, weddings and more. I am definitely still working with and for you, and -as always- glad to be part of the journeys.
It’s been awhile, right? I’ve been working day and night, and I bet most of you know why. Let’s talk masks...
I’m definitely making for family & friends in exchange for a donation of resources to help a group we’ve formed in our county (actively making thousands of masks and hats for hospitals, clinics, first responders, etc.) to stay supplied with materials.
We’re all volunteering our time and as many of our own resources as possible, but do need help, and quality fabric is the big need currently. A local shop is getting us 1yd of fabric to use in our donation work, and a mask is made for the fabric purchaser.
Write “Donate all, Droolist / Britta is making our masks,” in the NOTES before checking out, select local pick up (we pick up a couple times a week), and then select the number of yards you’d like to donate.
I’m happy to coordinate with you directly about the color and style of mask(s) you’d like if you’re able to help the group with fabric for frontline folks.
I would love to have 1 yard donated / mask you need. The information I need from you will be in the comments, please copy & paste that into a message & fill it out there so it comes to me here at my business page & I don’t miss anyone’s request.
Embroidery isn’t limited to any one fabric or purpose, and I love the variety of the projects I get to work on in any given week. I’m always happy to talk over ideas and see how we can work together.
I owe you all a big THANK YOU for keeping me so busy this year that I don’t even feel like the holiday rush ever ended! You’ve kept me hopping with custom sewing, embroidery, and creative makes! 2020 is off to a roaring start!

Finishing up this project had my whole heart last week. Especially the plaid guy in the front when getting his final touches added.
Since my client has shared what we created, I think it’s safe to share it here, too, without fear of spoiling a surprise gift.
Her family experienced a loss in 2019, and she wanted to create something special for a family member. We came up with this beautiful, one of a kind piece.
It’s definitely sweater season and if you have old favorites you don’t know what to do with, here’s an idea. This fully/lined throw pillow has been a pleasure to make among both larger (stay tuned) and smaller sewing and embroidery projects.
🎄😍💕 Now that we are spinning in the vortex of holiday cheer and glad tidings, projects like these are always a good reminder of hope the season celebrates.
Christmas is in full swing here! I still have limited availability for embroidering stockings and monogramming gifts, but time is slipping away each day. If you or someone you know needs help completing the “to do” lists, send a message. I’ll help if I can.
Friends, this is my ONLY show this year. You’re welcome to bring your Xmas stockings to be embroidered /monogrammed and I can have them ready for pick up next week.
I’ll have a limited number of items for sale at a shared table with some of my fellow knotty ladies 😉 who do knitting, crochet, embroidery and more — come see us at the SCES Holiday Shoppe on Saturday.
“Can you embroider the type of stockings we have?”
Whether no cuff, burlap, velvet, faux fur, knits or woven cotton: YES! Drop them off, choose monogram or names, select thread colors, settle on a font with me from a large variety, and have them back in 2-3 days.
It’s that time of the year!! Whether you’ve been meaning to get yours done or just got a new set, I have time set aside for stocking embroidery.
Bring your stockings, choose your embroidery colors and font, and I’m happy to take care of the rest. 🎄
When you’re ready to let it all burn down this holiday season, I’ve got you covered with the ugliest ornament ever.
It’s that time! The trash pile that has been 2019 is ready to toss into yea olde green metal dumpster as it’s lit aflame. Say goodbye to your 2019 dumpster fires with the tackiest, ugliest handmade ornament i have been able to muster. I’d love to help commemorate this Dumpster Fire of a year a...
It’s that time of year!
—Christmas Stocking Embroidery is underway. Currently, it’s only a 2-3 day turnaround from your drop off until they’re ready for pick up.
—I’d LOVE to have your orders for embroidered personalization of Xmas gifts for friends and family in by 12/1. I’ll take them after that, but only as my schedule permits.
—... AND ... I’m fully booked for sewing projects, including alterations, through the holidays. I’m happy to provide referrals or to book you for 2020.
Sometimes life’s best things come in small packages. 💕
I always have a t-shirt quilt of one kind or another going while other projects are in process. When I got a request for a CRAZY quilt for a wild child, I took some ideas from her mom and made possibly the craziest quilt yet. Baby clothes compose both sides, and the asymmetrical piecing along with appliqué work help make it completely one of a kind... and the binding? That’s actually from a blanket and a nursing cover. Missing only one little attachment point— her lovie from the baby days will have a prominent position (but be removable for washing). 💕 👧 😎
My heart is overflowing today. Thanks so much to this guy. His mom shared pictures from the wedding he was in... and that I was invited to help with some functional accessories for. The faux tux front and the chevron bandana bibs were a collaborative effort between his mom and me, but the confidence and style are all his!
One of the things I love most about being a small maker is the ability to take on one of a kind, custom projects. More bridal embroidery is underway, and oodles (that’s the technical term) of Christmas gifts lie ahead.
Working on custom projects is always my favorite! These flowers are going to be beautiful.
Many of you know me for my embroidery or memory bears and t-shirt quilts, but the majority of my Etsy business has always been bibs for older kids and adults with swallowing difficulties. The start of the school year, the holidays and season changes are always busy times, so if it takes me a bit longer to turnaround local projects, this is why. Thirty seven, yes 37, are shipping today and more than that will go next week. It’s always my pleasure to make these special, functional accessories. 💗
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I get to work for the best people around. These bears came to me as clothing and are now back in Illinois as precious gifts. It’s a privilege to create for people who have loved deeply.
And this is probably the kind of embroidery work I love most during back to school season! 🥰
The final countdown to school for the little ones is on where we live and I’ve lost count of the projects, but I have to give my clients credit for their choice in designs. These are two of my favorite monograms from last week.
There’s still time to get those backpacks and lunch boxes embroidered before school starts... but not much. 🤓 Let me know how I can help.
Maybe tomorrow. 😂🤷♀️
🎯 Stylish and school-ready kids 📚
Back to school season around here means embroidering backpacks and lunchboxes, monogramming bag tags and shirts, and creating countless (well, not exactly, but over 50 ordered this week) bibs for big kids!
A little riff on the science and tech a newly minted 7 year old loves? Absolutely!
🌞 Such a busy summer, but there’s always time for one of a kind baby gifts. If there’s anything you need, just ask. 🙂 I love your custom order requests!
I’ve had several inquiries lately regarding baby clothing and what to do with it. If you aren’t ready to invest in a quilt or you only kept a few, favorite pieces, a bear might be the way to go. 🐻❤️
Check out these little gals, and see what a handful of special clothing pieces can become!
Here’s your ear worm for the day!
Do do do do... 😂
What else is one to do when families are meeting up at the beach? I hope this crew has a wonderful time. 🏖
I’m so glad this large T-shirt quilt made it back safe and sound to Washington! It comfortably covers a king bed, and is perfect for all seasons. Thirty years of rides with shirts from nearly all, and one empty canvas in the lower corner for the winner of this fundraising piece to use for their own choice of embroidery or vinyl in the future! What a pleasure to put this together!
For all the big people who have little people out there, take a peek. These terrycloth backpacks unfold to be beach towels! One of my clever clients snagged hers at HomeGoods, so keep your eyes peeled. Think of how much they could carry on their own if they had their own towel-packs!!
