Dennard, Lacey & Associates has provided creative and marketing services for a variety of companies in the Dallas area as well as around the nation. Our core strength is branding and positioning (logos, corporate identity, packaging, ad campaigns…the tools that define and give personality to a product, service or institution). In addition, DL&A brings years of marketing experience and results-oriented creative skills to the design of annual reports, brochures, p.o.p. materials, websites, exhibits, presentations—and more.

It's not just what you say. It's how you say it.

In creating a brochure, annual report, website, ad, etc., for retail or corporate purposes, it helps to do so within the bounds of a corporate identity. One that projects a familiar vision and tenor that orients the audience to a recognizable, consistent, and trusted source.

Doing so otherwise can result in an amateurish, disheveled, and perhaps even desperate stance that blunts your message. You see, words are not the only communicators – the layout, design, typography, colors and textures are also part of the message.

With today's sophisticated consumers, you need professional design and marketing to help you "say it" with a little more panache or else you might come off like the guy who wears brown shoes with his tuxedo.

Really, it's as easy as 1, 2, 3.

First. Determine who you want to talk to. The general public? A select group? What is their cultural lifestyle(s)? Their beliefs? Interests? National or local audience? Etc.

Second. What do you want to say to them? Your product is better than theirs? You offer more value? Your life will be easier with our products or services?

Third. How do you want to say it? With a blaring brass band? Quietly and softly? With great sincerity? With newspaper and magazine ads? Digital? Outdoor? TV and radio? Direct mail? How about PR? And how long can you afford to say it?

Once you've answered these three questions, you'll have a good marketing map of where and how you need to go. One final question might be who can best help you get there?

It takes more than great food to make a great restaurant.

It might be the tasty sauce you use on pasta. The zingy dressing for the house salad. That special recipe for your signature entrée. Little things you might not suspect can constitute great food in customers' minds. And "great food" can draw customers in.

But, what keeps them coming back? Consistency. If it's working don't tinker with it. Ambience. What kind of atmosphere complements your great food? A raucous noisy one? A quiet, calm one? Either can work. Execution. This is where it can help to get professional design and marketing assistance to help make your vision a reality. Their knowledge of colors, textures and architectural nuances can turn your "great food" machine into a sophisticated money maker.

And you thought you were only in the restaurant business. 🍝
