Contractor: Projected at 100+ Hot, Qualified Leads for June - $0 Ad Spend

Yep! All organic, my friends...

If you think local SEO (search marketing) doesn't work or you're not investing it...

1) You're missing out on hot, qualified leads EVERY MONTH and
2) Your competition is getting all of them!

The value of one hot, qualified lead that turns into a customer is...

Worth so much more than the value of that one sale.

Assuming you took care of your customer...

You now have a word of mouth referral network for their neighbors, friends, family, etc.

So, one job could really be 2, 5, 10, or more over time.

This is the power of local SEO.

Word of mouth is the best form of advertising and always will be...

But, word of mouth alone can be a recipe for slow growth in a lot of niches.

It's how we helped grow a contractor from $0 to $3MM in ONE YEAR.

It's how we helped a contractor that was stuck at $400-600K/yr...

Get to $1.5MM the next year!

Word of mouth + local SEO = Exponential growth.

Are you the "go to" contractor in your area?

How many QUALIFIED leads are you currently getting in every month?

What could you do with an extra 10, 20, 50, or 100+ qualified leads EVERY month?

Are you a slow grower?

Attached is the 1st qualified lead for another new contractor we’re working with.

The first of many.

If you’re a contractor and not investing in intent marketing on Google...

You’re missing out on:

1. People looking for your services right now and

2. Contacting you directly.

Also known as..

Hot, qualified leads.

Word of mouth referrals are king but it can take time to build this up.

Imagine word of mouth (your network) + being in front of people looking for your services right now (outside your network)...

And, getting word of mouth from them and their neighbors, too (outside your network).

The result? Exponential growth!

We recently helped a company go from $0 to $3MM in one year.

If they had just relied on word of mouth alone they would have done $1.5MM.

The other $1.5MM came from our intent marketing efforts on Google.

The best time to invest in the growth of your business was yesterday.

The next best time is now!

Do you want slow growth or explosive growth?

7 qualified leads so far this (short) week...

For a contractor we work with.

One of these qualified leads is for a...

Fortune 100 company! 😎

Great relationship opportunity for our customer...

That could bring them repeat business.

All from intent marketing...

where we put our customers in front of people looking for their services...

Right now!

This is great for 2 reasons:

1) These are hot, qualified leads because they are looking for their services right now and

2) They are contacting them directly (no shared leads).

We track all calls and web form submissions...

So, we can provide real, measurable results.

You can’t manage what you don’t measure. 😉

6 qualified leads in...

ONE DAY...

For a contractor we work with.

We're getting amazing results for these guys and they're booming!

The beautiful thing with call and form tracking is there is no guessing... the marketing either works or it doesn't.

If you invest in digital marketing make sure you (or your marketing agency) are using call and form tracking.

Remember... you can't manage what you don't measure.

There's no way to track ROI without any data.

And, if you don't invest in digital marketing... why not? 😉

$3,500,000

This qualified lead came from our local SEO efforts for a contractor we work with.

Word of mouth is the best form of advertising and always will be, but...

This contractor WOULD NOT have gotten this lead if it weren't for local SEO.

Two great things happen when they close this job:

1) They will get the opportunity for repeat business from this customer and
2) It will open up a whole new network of word of mouth referrals they didn't have access to before.

If you can close qualified leads and take care of your customers...

Word of mouth referrals grow EXPONENTIALLY with intent marketing.

This is how we've been able to:

✅ Take a contractor from $0 to $3 million in ONE YEAR,
✅ Take a contractor from $400-600K to $1.5 million in ONE YEAR, and
✅ Help a contractor make a consistent 6 figures EVERY YEAR without door knocking, cold calling, or paying for ads.

And, that's just a few of our success stories over the past 14 years.

We couldn't have gotten these results with just word of mouth referrals.

Word of mouth referrals + intent marketing = 🔥🔥🔥

What could you do with an extra 5, 10, or even 20 jobs per month? 💰💰💰

How would things be different for your business?

If you want to be the "go to" contractor in your area and get from your current monthly revenue to your desired revenue...

Send me a private message and let's make 2020 your best year yet!

Contractor marketing results:

Total ad spend: $2,060
Total clicks: 157
Lead conversion rate: 12.74% (industry average is 2-5%)
Qualified leads: 20
Cost per lead: $103
Sales close rate: 50%
New customers: 10
Cost per customer: $206
Rough profit per job: $3,000

Invested $2,060 in ads to make $30,000.

This doesn’t include repeat business or word of mouth referrals from these new customers.

When you implement intent marketing and get qualified leads outside of your own network you can experience exponential growth.

“I can’t do it. I’m done.”

Words from Liam, my son, soon after we got him this scooter and he couldn’t figure it out on his first couple of tries.

He was so upset. He quit as soon as he started.

But...

He kept trying. He was in a cycle of:

1. Trying
2. Failing
3. Frustration

Until one day he succeeded.

He was so happy and his confidence grew.

Little by little he got better and better.

This was months ago.

Now he knows this thing like the back of his hand...

scooting along and coasting with one leg up, making immediate turns, and stopping on a dime like he’s been doing it for years.

What does this have to do with anything?

We, as adults, sometimes forget this.

We fail and immediately think everything is over.

We need to get good at failing.

We need to be comfortable with it.

The more we fail the more we learn.

If you’re only winning you’re not putting yourself out there enough.

Every failure isn’t really a failure it’s a learning opportunity.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.

WD40 got its name because it took them 40 attempts to get their formula to work. What if they would’ve given up at 10, 20, or 30 attempts?

Try something new this week.

Liam approves this message.

60-70% of our customer’s leads are calls.

The other 30-40% are web form leads from their website.

6 website form leads for this contractor last week, along with the calls that came in.

Your website is super important for a lot of reasons...

Your website’s ability to convert visitors into customers is one of them.

The only 3 areas that matter for digital marketing are:

1. Traffic
2. Conversions
3. Economics

The ability for your website to convert visitors into leads falls under #2.

If your site isn’t converting visitors into leads consider looking at these areas:

1. Is your website user friendly & does it speak to your target audience? What makes you unique/different than your competition? Is it mobile friendly? Does it load fast?

2. Does your website have social proof (real reviews), calls to action (phone numbers & web forms), and before/after pictures showing your work?

3. Does your web form have a lot fields? From our testing, the less fields we have the higher the conversion rate. (At a minimum, we get name, email, and phone and then get additional info when on the phone with the prospective customer.)

Here’s to real, measurable results.

In ONE year!

How?

2. Great customer service
3. Our intent marketing on Google bringing in hot leads on autopilot every month

People tell me all the time that businesses don’t need digital marketing / advertising...

My response to that is summed up best in a quote from Steuart Henderson Britt:

“Doing business without advertising is like winking at a girl in the dark. You know what you are doing but nobody else does.”

***8 Qualified Leads In 9 Days***

Almost one qualified lead per day...

To start off April...

For a contracting customer of ours.

What could your business do with an extra 8 qualified leads?

And, when I say qualified leads I mean people in need of your services right now and contacting you directly.

Want real, measurable results like these?

Be done with the shared lead sites, low quality leads from social media marketing, and marketers that over promise and under deliver.

The first lead for a new customer is always the best...

It shows them that we can deliver.

It shows them that people really are looking for their services and needing them right now.

It shows them the power of intent marketing.

It ignites a fire and shows them there's hope.

Onward and upward for this customer.

14 years of digital marketing and it never gets old. 🙂

3 qualified leads in 3 hours today for a contracting customer of ours!

I've never been a fan of the word "lead" as there are so many different types out there...

And, from talking with a lot of contractors over the years I hear most of them are crap!

They're not qualified, shared with multiple contractors, on an old list that's been re-used multiple times, etc.

What type of "leads" are my customers getting?

Their ideal customer looking for their services right now and contacting them directly...

Which translates to:

1) Hot, quality leads and
2) No shared lead sites / competing on price alone

The result?

Growth.

7- and 8-figure growth, to be exact.

Want to grow your contracting business in 2020 and be the go to contractor in your area?

Watch my free case study at the link below and schedule a call:

P.S. The qualified leads in the image came from $0 in ad spend. All organic. 😎

P.P.S. Don't schedule a call if you're not serious about growing your business.

03/01/2020

February ad spend: $555
Qualified leads: 5
Cost per lead: $111

I know for sure this customer closed 2-3 of these leads.

I’m only aware of the size of one of these closed jobs... $50K.

Even if they just closed that one lead they paid $555 for a $50K job.

Let’s take another step and be conservative and say their profit is 20% or $10K.

They paid $555 to make $10K. That’s a 1700% ROI. And, this will be a repeat customer for them. 😎👍

This doesn’t include their leads from our SEO efforts. 😱😱😱

01/18/2019

"73% of consumers trust a business based on positive reviews."

Today, more people give importance to online reviews than ever before. BrightLocal's 2017 Local Consumer Survey revealed that a majority of consumers would regard a local business highly based on positive online reviews.

An average consumer reads seven reviews to develop an opinion about a company.

88% of local clients trust reviews.

What does this mean?

Online reputation is super important! It can be your biggest asset if managed well. It can also turn out to be your worst liability if not managed properly.

After 13 years in online marketing here are my BEST TIPS for reviews:

1) Always ask your customer for a review at their highest peak of satisfaction with your sale or service. You can do this in person when you are wrapping up a sale/service or via email. (In person converts much better!) Let them know that their review will help your company know how you are doing and help prospective customers like them looking for your type of services.

Side note after getting 1000s of reviews: If you are asking for a Google review have them open up the Google Maps app on their phone, search for your business, and leave you a review there. It's much easier on your customer because they will already be logged into the Google Maps app versus going through a web browser and having to try and remember their login. As of this writing all Android phones have Google Maps installed and a lot of people have Google Maps on their iPhone.

2) If you get a negative review don't panic! Everyone gets them from time to time, even from non-customers, competitors, or ex-employees. The first thing you need to do is reply cordially that you apologize for the inconvenience and would love to help them out with the issue they had and provide your direct number. Prospective customers looking at your company will see this as you trying to do what is right and it will go a long way with them. Ultimately, prospective customers want to know if you care or not. Negative reviews with no replies don't look good.

Did you get a review from a competitor, ex-employee, or non-customer? Use this template: "Dear [Name], I am sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with our service. I have checked our accounts and it appears that we don't have your name listed as a previous customer, but I would be more than happy to help with your problem if you could call us at 123-456-7890"

Side note: Make it a practice to reply to every review. Good or bad.

3) Use your reviews on your website and marketing materials. Reviews are social proof and help consumers when determining who is and is not a good company to work with. If you have thousands of customers and some great 5-star Google reviews let your prospective customer / visitor know! Add something like this to your website or marketing materials... "Trusted by 1000s of Satisfied Customers" with screenshots of some of your best Google reviews below it.

Lastly, here's the best part with online reviews. A lot of your competition is more than likely NOT asking for & and getting reviews and managing their online reputation. So, it won't take much to stand out when you start applying the tips above. If your competitors on Google have a few reviews and you have 50+ or 100+ it will make the searcher's decision that much easier when deciding who to call first. Take a look at the attached snapshot. Who would you call first?

To your success,

Chris

01/11/2019

46% of all searches are local.

60% of the people who search for local businesses use smartphones.

What does this mean if you're a local contractor or service company?

1) You better be at the top of the first page on Google/Bing and
2) Have a mobile friendly website

OR you are missing out on HOT leads that are coming in daily.

How do various forms of offline marketing (billboards, TV commercials, radio ads, flyers & mailers, etc.) compare with online marketing for local contractors and service companies?

After 13 years of marketing online I made a video that shows you what you need to do in 2019 and beyond. Check it out at the link below.
