Hello everyone! Just wanted to share some news with you. For the past few months I have been hard at work designing a Congressional Report for the Indian Law & Order Commission. Feel free to go and check out the document yourself!

These recommendations are intended to make Native American and Alaska Native natio...

Big changes coming in the next month folks. Will be moving my operation to Arlington!

Just wanted to let everyone know what has been going on lately. Started classes 3 weeks ago to obtain my Web Design Certificate. This is going to be an interesting fall balancing all the Winery projects I have with school. In addition to school, I have also been selected by Seneca Holding to preform Web & Graphic Design work through the end of the year. Things are really starting to take off!

Determination- a fixed purpose, the power and will to persist, resolve, to have the drive, to have the grit, to go the distance, to be hell-bent on reaching a goal and getting it done no matter what.

Big things are coming! Stay tuned this fall :)

Messages and a Unified Voice
The company is clear about how it wants to be perceived, and every communication supports that goal. Consistent messages appear in sales presentations, advertising campaigns, speeches, and myriad of other strategic marketing tools. The messages are aligned with the positioning strategy, and the tone is consistent as well.

Visual point of view
A brand identity system is unified visually and structurally. It builds on cohesive brand architecture and utilizes specially designed colors, typeface families, and formats. The identity system advances immediate recognition of the company and supports brand attributes across various media. The core identity signatures and their variations are never altered.

How is coherence achieved?
The brand experience feels the same, whether the customer is online, in his car, at her desk, or watching TV. This is a result of understanding the needs and preferences of the target customer and designing a brand experience that manages a desired perception. Every touchpoint is considered a brand experience.

Nike was the goddess of victory. The logo, an abstraction of a wing, designed by Carolyn Davidson, was an appropriate and meaningful symbol for a company that marketed running shoes. The "Just Do It" campaign communicated such a strong point of view to the target market that the meaning of the symbol evolved into a battle cry and way of life for an entire generation.

Think about how Apple can invoke an immediate response with their television ads. Before the ad even runs, you know it's them, and you know it's going to be something intelligent and different.

This was all successful by having a stellar brand identity. A perfect model to follow when you think about starting your own business.

Brand is the promise, the big idea, and expectations that reside in each customer's mind about a product, service or company. Branding is about making an emotional connection. People fall in love with brands--they trust them, develop strong loyalties, buy them, and believe in their superiority. The brand is shorthand: it stands for something and demonstrates it.

"Products are created in the factory. Brands are created in the mind."

-Walter Landor, founder, Landor Associates

Over the next few days, I'm going to be sharing some important things to keep in mind with Brand Identity and designing your own brand. You will find more in depth information from Alina Wheeler's book "Designing Brand Identity: A Complete Guide to Creating, Building, and Maintaining Strong Brands"

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Happy Election Day folks!
Get out and vote!

Make sure you all check back later this week! I'll be releasing the design of the Coco D'Lapporte dessert wine being sold over at Vint Hill Craft Winery. You seriously need to get a bottle. Not because I designed the label, but because it is seriously good!
