As the temperatures rise, please keep your computers cool!

Your computer can't function as well in heat, so keep it somewhere cooler. In some cases, heat can even damage the computer.

You can still bring your laptop outside, just be careful.
Don't let it overheat!

We hope you're all staying safe out there!

In an effort to better support you, GeekABC has decided to start doing in-home calls again. You can call to schedule a tech to come out to your home or business.

We will still be maintaining social distance, though!

Summer really feels like it's right around the corner!

If you're doing any yard work or playing outside, make sure you drink lots of water. It's important to stay hydrated!

No matter how strenuous the activity, always keep a bottle of water on hand. It gets pretty hot around here, so even casual exercise can work up a sweat.

Make sure you keep yourself safe from the heat!

Having a hard time staying positive? Clean up!

It may sound like odd advice, but a clean environment makes you happier. An organized home or office helps you to relieve stress and improve your productivity.

If you have a lot to clean, do a manageable chunk each day!

How was your weekend?

The other good part of a 3-day weekend is a shorter work week right after! Only 3 more days until the weekend again!

You can do it!

How do you plan on spending your 3-day weekend?

We're going to be hard at work fixing computers! It feels nice to finally be back helping people with their computer needs.

We hope you use this weekend to sit back, relax, and recharge. It's good to take time to recover from the hectic work week. When was the last time you sat down with a good book? What about going outside and enjoying nature?

We have some nature trails around here that would be a nice change of pace for those looking for it. If you've never looked into bird-watching, you can always start now. How many different kinds of birds can you spot on your walks?

Try something new and expand your horizons! You never know what will become your next hobby until you try it.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Just a heads up:
The Springfield shop will still be open on Monday!

Even though it's Memorial Day, we want our customers to be able to bring in or pick up their computers.

Just to be safe, however, please call ahead if you plan on coming in!

Do you have any fun projects you're working on?

It doesn't matter if it's large or small. Baking a treat for your pet and redoing your entire basement are both valid. As long as you get enjoyment out of it and feel rewarded afterwards, it counts!

Make sure to have fun!

As always, we will keep you updated if there are any schedule changes! When in doubt, you can also call us to confirm times.

We are currently open MWF in Springfield from 9-7 and TRSat in Fairfax from 10-6.

Thank you for your patience!

Reminder: we're not doing onsite work at this time!

While we are still doing no-contact pick-up and drop-off for computers, we won't be able to come inside and work on anything until further notice.

Please keep this in mind when calling to schedule a tech!

Hello! How is your day going?
It's been a bit chilly and wet these past few days, but that's one less day we have to water our gardens.

We've been hard at work repairing all of the computers that have come in this past week. Thank you all so much for thinking of us and waiting patiently until we re-opened.

We truly appreciate you and wish you the best.
Without you, there really would be no GeekABC.

We hope to continue to serve you for years to come!

Thank you, everyone, for your support!

We've had a large influx of computers over the past few days, so please be patient when bringing your computer in. We're trying our best to deliver as prompt of a service as we can with the resources we have.

Again, thank you so much!

GeekABC has officially re-opened!

Our Fairfax and Springfield stores will be alternating days, from Monday to Saturday.

You can find our updated store hours here:

Don't forget, we're re-opening on Monday!

We're still looking over the scheduling, so we plan on posting the full schedule in our Tuesday post. If you plan on coming in on Monday, please call ahead to see when we're open.

We hope to see you soon!

Please don't forget about common courtesy!

We know someone who was outside doing essential work and had someone squeeze past them instead of waiting for them to move.

Remember: maintain social distance!

May is fast approaching!

We're keeping an eye out for any major developments, but GeekABC is still scheduled to re-open on May 4th.

We look forward to seeing you again!

Enjoy your weekend!

While you might not be able to get out and watch a movie or sit down at a restaurant, you can still enjoy yourself.
Whether it's with your family or by yourself, you can still set up a private home theater with your favorite movies or try out a fancy new recipe you wouldn't usually make.

Connect with your loved ones, whether they're stuck inside with you or far away. You don't have to go through this alone!

You have the internet at your fingertips, so utilize its possibilities!

GeekABC plans to re-open for business on May 4th!

We will, of course, be keeping an eye on the virus in the meantime. If it looks like we'll need to remain closed due to safety concerns, we will let you know.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding!

Thank you to everyone wearing masks when out and about!

It makes grocery shopping a lot safer for everyone.

From all of us at GeekABC, we send you our appreciation for protecting our family and your's!

What are some things you've gotten done during the lockdown?

Here's what one of us has gotten done:

"There are plenty of activities to do, as long as you're willing to look for them. While you have the time, you can do anything that you've been putting off for a while.

For example, my family redid our backyard. The flowerbeds were re-soiled and all the grass cut. We even added a new magnolia tree! Once it gets bigger and is in full bloom, it will be a wonderful addition to our garden.

We also took the time to learn some healthy recipes and have been trying those out. It's nice to taste some new foods and they're good for you, too!

I've been using my own time to work out the mechanics of a game system I'm building. Since it's a very time-consuming task, the lockdown has given me plenty of time to work out all the bugs.

I hope everyone else has been able to find time for their own projects. It's all about using your time wisely!"

Just giving warm wishes today!

No matter how things seem, always be looking ahead.
Find your light at the end of the tunnel and keep it in sight.

Even the darkest of nights end once the sun rises!

It's important to keep your mind and body active!

Give your brain some activities to strengthen your memory or learn a new skill. Keep your body healthy by exercising, even if you're stuck indoors.

Don't give into the temptation of being idle!

Hello, everyone!
It has been pretty windy these past few days, hasn't it?

One of the most important things you can do for yourself right now is to stay informed. Research as much as you can, but also CHECK YOUR FACTS.

Remember: You want to be alert, not alarmed. Keep watch of how things are going, without giving into fear or hysteria.
You need a level head in order to make good decisions.

Fear is why hand sanitizer and toilet paper ran out.
Fear is why hospitals are in desperate need of masks.
Stop the fear, for the good of everyone.

Here's your friendly reminder to wash your hands!

Even if you were at home all day, get into the habit of washing your hands correctly. Lather well with soap and wash for 20 seconds.

Stay safe!

Remember: If you're feeling sick, stay indoors!

We all need to do what we can to slow the spread. If you absolutely must go out, wash your hands regularly and wear a medical mask.

Stay safe!

Hello! Is everyone doing well?

Let us know if you have any questions or concerns regarding our shops or computers! We will be making an effort to respond to any replies or messages within 1 business day.

You can also email us at customercare (at) geekabc (dot) net for other questions regarding computer repair or remote support.

Thank you for your patience!

As mentioned before, we will be closed for the month of April.

We will be doing our part in slowing the spread of COVID-19 by letting our techs stay safe at home.

We apologize for the inconvenience!
Thank you so much for your understanding and support!

And this marks the end of March!

We're hurrying to get all of our work done because we will be temporarily closing for the month of April.

Sorry for the inconvenience! Stay healthy!

How are you doing? Hanging in there?

For those of you stuck at home, it can be easy to go a bit stir-crazy trying to find things to do. So, today, we're going to give you some ideas to help out.

1. Get ahead: Use this time to do those tasks that will improve your situation. You can finally reorganize your room or polish up your resume. It doesn't matter what it is, as long as it will help you later on.

2. Improve a skill: There's the go-to skills, like art or programming, but you can also improve in other areas like cooking or cleaning (yes, this is a skill). Even if you've hit your cap in skill, you can always learn to do things faster or more efficiently.

3. Learn something new: The internet is full of information, so utilize it! Ever wondered how to use spreadsheets? Find an online tutorial and learn how. There are all sorts of videos and guides online to learn almost any kind of skill. You just need to take the time to look for it.

We wish you the best of luck!
Let's all get through this together.

Just a friendly reminder:
Make sure you call before you pick-up or drop-off your computer at one of our shops!

Our hours may change suddenly, so please check before you come in.

Thank you for understanding!

You want to be alert, not afraid. Make sure your sources of information are accurate and honest!

Happy Pi Day!

Spend some time at home this weekend and bake yourself a nice, warm pie. With all the fear going around, it's nice to take a bit of time to relax and enjoy life.

On that note, please do your part in helping to lessen the spread of Coronavirus: Wash your hands often!
If you were able to grab some hand sanitizer, you can use that if you don't have access to a sink and soap. Unfortunately, supply and demand has made getting more hand sanitizer a struggle now.

As a bonus tip, make sure you get enough rest and water! Help your body help you.

Keep yourself happy and healthy!
