How to get more leads: More landing pages

More words are not always good in copywriting... But when it comes to landing pages, the more, the better!

It is so simple...More landing pages = more conversion opportunities.

Research backs this up. When companies went from 10 to 15 landing pages, leads jumped up by 55%!

You might be saying, "Well, that doesn't work for me because I only have two offers..."

Okay, then create more offers! You've GOT to be creating more offers— now more than ever.

A few ways you can create new offers using what you already have:
-Customize your offers for each avatar. You may think you only have one avatar, but I'd challenge you to get super detailed and consider ALL the types of people who want what you've got. Create 1 offer for at least 3 sub-avatars of your main avatar.
-Re-purpose your old content. Old blog posts are the perfect place to start when you're stuck. Update your old posts to boost SEO and break up your content to appeal to EACH avatar.

Happy Monday, everyone!!

I want to talk about priming in advertising.

You are already using priming in your marketing strategy, whether you're aware of it or not!

So what is it? Priming is basically prepping the brain to be more receptive to something else.

A market researcher did a study in a movie theater where he flashed ads for popcorn and soda SUPER lightning-fast— so fast that moviegoers didn't even know they'd seen it. He supposedly found that popcorn and soda sales jumped up because they had received "subliminal priming."

Is marketing evil?

Before I began copywriting, I definitely thought marketing was a dirty word. I thought it was inherently manipulative and just downright wrong.

But I started studying advertising, business psychology, and marketing. I mean REALLY studying it. I learned a few things that COMPLETELY changed the way I think about it. And my conclusion is... it's complicated.

I was thinking about what I, as a copywriter, can do to help bring justice to George Floyd. I wrote an email to my local police department offering to review their current culture and diversity training and asking if I could add my own special sauce to it. I have a background in social psychology, so I feel I could content about:

1) how police officers can identify their own biases (which they may not even know they have)
2) the psychology of prejudice and stereotypes
3) the history of police brutality (especially in cases where minorities like black men suffer)
4) how to interact with black men on the job, in light of the recent history of police brutality

Why? Because people need high-quality products RIGHT NOW more than ever!
