It always feels good when the things you create are being put to work in support of a great cause. Here is the branding we designed for the National Clean Water Collective. Our goal was to identify the most simple form that symbolized clean water and tie it into the wordmark. Our solution was to turn the O itself into a familiar drop of water, while still maintaining legibility. Matching the line weight up with the "Clean Water" as a visual cue, we then filled the container. Leaving negative space around the water as a symbol of purity and cleanliness, the form aesthetically pleasing but also cues you into the mission of the charity, providing clean water as a human right. The National Clean Water Collective (NCWC) is a registered non-profit grassroots organization that has provided more than $250k worth of vital supplies and support to the residents of Flint, Michigan.

Visual package I designed for LA-based EDM artist and producer Frantik and his debut release 'Just The Beginning'. Including a wordmark, glitch type treatment, EP Cover, social media banners, promo images and much more.

The client came to us with a simple suggestion of an ouroboros which they felt was emblematic of the vibe of their music and the concept behind this upcoming release. Our job was to take the clients direction and shape it into something that was both visually appealing and drew influence from an aged, mysterious, and occult look. This artwork was created with a combination of physical and digital assets including some thrifted and restored vintage victorian era tiles to give it the proper style and authenticity.

Let's talk about shapes! It's very easy as a designer to get sucked into the habit of always using simple shapes, like a traditional circular crest or a rectangle around a wordmark. With this apparel design I did for PA based Metalcore band Dead Eyes, I tried to break out of this habit and incorporate the design and type into a unique Keyhole shape. Researching and discovering new and exciting topics to inform my work is one of my favorite parts of being a designer. I try my best to understand our client's brand and needs inside and out before ever putting pen to paper. Here's a brand identity I designed for a now-defunct streetwear brand Urban Climate, which donated proceeds from their sales to benefit climate change causes and awareness. Their original logo was a snowflake which the client wanted included in the rebranding, I had the challenge of incorporating that symbol into a mark that was more encompassing and descriptive of their full brand identity. I decided to make the snowflake part of compass rose to depict how climate change has affected life in every direction. The twelve points of the compass are meant to represent all the major climate regions as defined in the Köppen classification. Rainforest, monsoon, tropical savanna, humid subtropical, humid continental, oceanic climate, mediterranean climate, desert, steppe, subarctic climate, tundra, and polar ice cap.

Illustration is one of the parts of design I’ve had to focus on the most in order to grow as a designer. After we developed a wordmark, producer and songwriter Coloreo came back to us looking to develop an icon. This wolf went through many sketches and iterations before the final form you see here. The finished product is the simplest distillation I could illustrate, all fitting within a circular form.

In 2015 one of the first logos I created was for my supremely talented friend John Anthony as he started his life as a professional musician. Very excited to announce that I've been working on this really fun collaboration with my friends Ryan Mead from Blueshirts Breakaway and fellow designer Bob Kawa on the Church of Kakko. The Church of Kakko is a website dedicated to our lord and savior, Finnish superstar and future New York Ranger Kaapo Kakko. I had a hand in creating the branding for the site as well as the merch designs. In the twelve hours since launch we've had 35k+ visitors to the website and a number of newspapers, blogs and other outlets in Finland have written about the Church of Kakko, making it one of the trending topics in the country. We'll have a lot more updates to come as the 2019-20 season approaches, visit the site and praise him!
