I’m being very selective about where to eat these days. As much as I love and support restaurants, my reality is that the food and experience have to be different and better than what I can do (and have been doing) at home these past months.

That’s why Osteria Leana was the pick for an outing with a few friends.

A few tables outside, excellent service, a constant changing of utensils and napkins with each course, and always some of the best food on LI in the hands of Chef Peter Van Der Mije.

This is squid ink pasta with a crab ragout. Just one of the delicious dishes we enjoyed.
