I still go often, but I went there almost every week in the summer to read, socially-distantly catch up with friends, do an outdoor yoga class, or just take in the insane views the Triborough Bridge, Hellgate Bride, and the NYC skyline.

I'm obsessed with this Halloween charcuterie board. I love to host gatherings for the holidays and set out seasonal snacks for my guests, and although I may not be able to do that for Halloween this year, I'd happily have this one all to myself :) It has all the basics I love in a charcuterie with a variety of meat, cheese, fruit and crackers, but the seasonal fall fruits, cute spider decorations, and pumpkins is such a fun and seasonal take on the traditional board.

I love brunch, which is why I’m inspired by this breakfast themed “charcuterie” board. It incorporates pancakes, bacon and/or sausage links for meat lovers, fresh fruit like strawberries and raspberries, and toppings like Nutella, syrup and whipped cream, but really you can add any variety of breakfast items and be as creative as you want swapping in peanut butter for Nutella, bagels and cream cheese for pancakes and butter… it’s indulgent and makes a great centerpiece!

This game day board is what dreams are made of. I love a good football game (go, @nygiants !), but if I'm being honest, it's the atmosphere and food that really makes it fun for me. Our President @brookette1, just returned from Charleston where she spent time with our client, James Beard Award-winning pitmaster, restaurateur and one of the stars of Netflix’s Chef’s Table, @PitmasterRodneyScott. Below she shares a few highlights from her trip.
Where did you visit in Charleston?
Where didn’t I visit? Charleston is a small city defined by its cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages, and southern charm. We spent a day with Rodney exploring historic neighborhoods, riding along the Charleston Harbor and looking at the pastel antebellum homes. We also visited Fort Sumter, which is where the first shots of the Civil War were fired. After a day of touring we couldn’t wait to get to the main event…visiting Rodney Scott’s BBQ. Customers spilled out of the restaurant and the lines were down the street – there were also 20 cars waiting to place orders at the drive through. Rodney was swarmed with fans as he ushered us through the side door into the Pit, which was absolutely incredible.
We tried just about everything on the menu and personal favs included his slow-smoked pulled pork and spareribs covered in his signature spice rub & sauce, along with his collard greens and baked beans. Best of all, we brought tons of leftovers to our hotel and had the best midnight snack!
Do you have a favorite memory from the trip?
Hands down the best memory was eating Rodney’s BBQ WITH Rodney on the back of his tailgate across from his restaurant. When Rodney says, “Every Day is a Good Day,” he means it. He is living his dream!
What were the most delicious things you ate?
Rodney’s pulled pork AND a fried catfish sandwich at Leons.
What was it like traveling during this time?
Charleston was much busier than I expected, so we were hypersensitive to those who were not wearing masks and/or social distancing. However, the streets were bustling, there was great energy and people were actively shopping and eating indoors. It was an incredible change of scenery and we had a blast!

Last weekend our Senior Publicist, Jen (@jlmend719), had the opportunity to travel to the Berkshires and is excited to share details about her experience traveling during this time, her favorite meal and experience, and more! 🍁
Where did you go? Where did you stay?
My boyfriend @mattylevs and I stayed in Egremont at the Egremont Village Inn, a cute B&B. Part of the property was the Egremont Barn, which has live, outdoor music each night. We also visited cute shops and restaurants in Great Barrington, Lenox and Sheffield.
How was it traveling during this time?
It was beautiful for starters!
The foliage in the Berkshires is so stunning this time of year, and everyone was safe following safety protocols at various locations, or just walking around town.
What was your favorite meal?
I LOVED the Bistro Box! It looks like a very unassuming burger shack on the side of the road, but the food is incredible, including their breakfast burrito because I can’t turn down a good breakfast burrito… and they have picnic tables and seating with a big lawn and mountains so it was a treat being able to squeeze in fresh air and outdoor dining.
What was your favorite experience?
For some reason, I made a dinner reservation outside at The Stagecoach Tavern… but it was 45 degrees, OOPS! The food was excellent, so we made the best of it, sitting under a heat lamp and next to a fire, and making friends with the table next to us from a distance. But as chilly as it was, when are you ever throwing wood into your own fire in Manhattan so that was cool!

“I grew up in NY and have worked in NYC my whole life. I'll never forget the morning of 9/11. It was Max's first day of preschool - Marc and I brought him to school that morning so we didn't go to work early as usual. After drop off as we waited for the train from NJ to NYC we heard the news and all public transit was suspended. At the very same time my sister in law, Sharon was on a plane flying from NJ to CA. My mom, who was battling late stage brain cancer was in the city (with my dad) - in addition to being terrified about the massive loss of life, worrying about a terrorist being on Sharon's flight and not knowing what was happening next, I was extremely worried about my mom.
Thank you to all the heroes who ran towards the madness to save lives and to those who, many years later (and now) are sick as a result. My heart goes out to you and to all of the families who lost loved ones. I cherish my family, friends and colleagues.
