מה ביקשתי לשנה החדשה, להיות יחד, להיות בבית. לחבר את ההווה עם העבר ולבנות לי עתיד. כנראה שזה לא היה צריך לקרות, עוד לא.
במקום זה קיבלתי לראש השנה את הבית פה. שההורים האלופים והאמיצים שלי עלו על טיסה והגיעו אלינו והנה הלב שלם, הראש נח, ויש שלווה גדולה. אנחנו יחד וזה באמת ה-כ-ל! יום כיפור בפתח ולא יכלתי להרגיש יותר מחוברת ומלאה בהודיה מישהו שם שומע.

I feel like art saves me this days. Like many times before it’s my safe space, when I grab a brush or a pencil I get to dive into a world of happiness and zen, just like a very long meditation.
My love to art start as a kid, my older brother is an artist and I remember his padded wooden box that my dad made him full of little oil tubes. I remember the scent when I entered his room it was a bit toxic but in the best way possible I use to watch him paint mesmerizing the movement of the brushes. Already then I knew I wanted to be an artist. The color pallet was so vibrant it was so elegant I didn’t believe I’ll ever know how to do it myself, it’s seems almost like a super power to me (I was about 8 years old). Thank god I got this super power in me.
As a teenager Art was my escape I could run away to my room close the door and sketch for hours I felt like it’s the only thing I was good at (since I was a sh*tty kid and A very bad student). I used to paint and doodle on everything including my skin, I actually for awhile believed I’ll be a tattoo artist since I use to sketch all over my arms my legs and who ever will seat next to me in class. We were to young to get tattooed (visible ones anyway) so I faked some for whoever just wanted. all my ripped denim were decorated some of my Dr.martens basically everything. Fast forward, I didn’t paint for almost 13 years, maybe because as a designer I always sketch I forgot to do what I love the most. This past few weeks were like going back to my childhood room, I feel like I can shut the door and dream away.
And even better when I look at my 5 years old hold the brush and I see how happy it makes her, I know she got thous super powers too.

When I was younger my parents use to tell me if I will invest in school as much energy that I am investing in my friendships I’ll be the best student in school.
I never got to be the best student but I got so many friends and I will never replace it because what I learn from my friends you cannot learn at any school!
Thank you so much everyone I’m so lucky to call you guys my friends, and thank you to my best friend in the entire world that somehow manage to make my birthday in quarantine not so lonely and feeling so loved.

I can’t stop wondering how we are going to look back on this days, what we going to take with us. What scars, fears, appreciation, new knowledge we will carry on and what we will be daily grateful without forget what we just being thru. If people will just get back to fast past as quick as they stopped?
I know that Germaphobia is going to be my new pet peeve and it will be a hot minute till I will stop wash my hands after touching anything or anybody.

2020? I remember 2000 like it was literally yesterday I remember I had this shiny Vinyl dark green pants and a bra, I was wearing my mom Dalmatian fur jacket I looked crazy lol JLo song was the hit of the “millennium” I had the cutest boyfriend and I was only 15 I couldn’t wait for midnight that he will kiss me in front of everyone. Remember this days when kissing was so exciting when you can kiss all night without doing anything else. We didn’t need to drink or to smoke we had no cell phone and we didn’t need any approval of how cool or pretty we are. All we care about was to dance our ass off and this midnight kiss! For 2020 I wish you all have someone who will kiss you all night long love you truly and take you to dance your ass off!
