Interested in Hosting a Virtual Event? Here are some tips!

First thing first, the year was 2017 when I hosted my very first online conference and it ran for two years. #BrandCON17 #BrandCON18. I hosted this event alongside some of my business besties including @iamjohnene, @jamardiggs, and @knotableagency.

Both years, it sold out! The problem that we faced, just like what may still be an issue in 2020, is will the value be the same online. The answer is YES!

This year alone, I've hosted TWO powerhouse, sold out, online events = #TheDigitalChurchSummit and #EmpoweringHERWeekend.

Together those events generated over 4K attendees.

Here are my tips for you:

1. @Zoom can be used for more than a meeting. Their Zoom Webinar feature allows you to host a full conference and also broadcast it to your favorite social media platforms. More importantly, you can download the media file to repurpose the content and also upsell it at a later time.

2. @LinkedIn Live. Did you know that LinkedIn had a live feature? They are keeping up with the social media trend for quality video content. The great thing about this platform is that it already has a highly engaged professional audience that will be interested in your content.

3. Research and Select a Virtual Event Platform. If you're ready to take your online conference to the next level, this is the way to go. There are many providers that exist in this space that will allow you to give the full conference feel from the main stage to breakout sessions, digital expos, and more.

Our Story

In 2015, K&R Communications launched as a digital public relations firm with 3 primary focus areas: PR | Web Design | Social Media. Over the years, we have worked with clients in the nonprofit, business and religious sectors throughout the East Coast. Our client base spans from North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and New York. In 2019, we will celebrate 4 years of business and we greeted the New Year with a mini-REBRAND! 1. Our name is staying the same: K&R Communications 2. Our brand colors have changed! We're still keeping the purple that you know and love, however, our colors now have a more matured look with Purple and Navy as the primary colors. 3. Our niche has become more defined. K&R Communications is now a BRANDING AND DIGITAL MARKETING AGENCY with five core points: design, web, social, email and brand development. 4. Our web address has changed from KNRpr.com to KNRagency.com 5. And, our NEW logo is AMAZING!

One major change is that we are moving out of the PR space. We've fallen in LOVE with digital marketing. Wit this, we continue to be committed to producing effective communications, meeting deadlines and expressing creativity with integrity. Our motto is producing excellence at every turn™.
