Just a reminder that we're only human!

There was a large influx of computers coming in around Thanksgiving, so please allow us some extra time to work on your computer.

We want to make sure we're providing you accurate information for your diagnostic, which requires time!

It's now December!
Have you already finished decorating your house?

We hope that you're able to enjoy the holidays this year.
We offer warm wishes and the best of luck to you and yours.

Almost there to 2021!

Friendly reminder: find something you enjoy!

With all of the free time some of us have, it's important to have both space and a hobby. Having space gets overlooked sometimes, but sharing space with someone can get draining very quickly. It doesn't matter how good of friends you are!

As for a hobby, we're defining it as "anything that requires effort from you in order to do something that makes you happy". Yes, this is still a very loose definition. Whether you like designing birdhouses or helping people, it can fit as a hobby. The important thing here is that you feel happy and fulfilled afterwards.

After all, learning new things is just as much a hobby as playing a guitar if you enjoy it.

🦃 Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

Thank you for all of your support!
We hope to continue to serve you far into the future.

Last reminder that we're closed this Thursday!

We will have normal hours on Friday, however, if you do need to come in. Make sure to check our website for our most up-to-date hours!

This has been said time and time again, but please wear a mask if you're planning on coming in! You are required to have one on, if you want service from us.

We only bring this up because we've recently had people walk in without masks on. Regardless of your feelings towards COVID-19, wearing a mask protects the technicians who will be working on your computer.

If they get sick, no one can repair your system!

One week until Thanksgiving!

We hope everyone is staying safe, especially with the holidays right around the corner. Whether you plan on having the usual family gathering or something smaller this year, we hope you have fun!

Next week is already almost Thanksgiving!

As a heads up, we will NOT be open on Thanksgiving Day.
The day before and day after are still good, though.

Keep that in mind, if you plan on bringing your computer in!

Friendly reminder: We're a computer repair service!

Why do we bring this up?
Well, we get many calls asking if we repair phones and tablets. While we do some work outside of just computers, this does not extend to mobile devices.

Outside of computers, we offer IT support for networks and the computer-side of printer support. If it's software based, we can most likely troubleshoot it. Any hardware not for computers or routers is generally a no, though.

When in doubt, we recommend calling during our store hours.

Why are new Macbooks so expensive to repair?

If you own a newer Macbook, there's a chance that all of your parts are embedded or sautered onto the Logic Board. The screens are also not widely available yet, making them hard to find.

When in doubt, bring it in for diagnostic!

In case you didn't see our post on Saturday, we will be open tomorrow for Veteran's Day.

If you need to come in, we'll be ready and waiting.

Otherwise, we wish you a happy Veteran's Day!

We hope you're having a great weekend so far!

Quick note: We will be open on Veteran's Day next week.
Feel free to stop by, if you need computer repair!

As always, no appointment needed. You just leave your name and some contact info when you come in.

Just giving some good wishes today!

We hope you're doing well and staying safe.

It feels like winter already!

If you don't want to brave the cold, there's always the option for a tech to come out to you. If you're curious about our rates and availability, you can call us during shop hours.

Stay safe out there!

🎃 Happy Halloween! 🎃

Whether you're going to be out trick-or-treating or staying indoors this year, we wish you a spooky Halloween filled with fun and frights.

Relax and enjoy a good horror film (or laugh at a bad one!) with all the lights turned off.

When it comes to replacing screens, brand matters.

While the labor cost is more or less the same, a screen can run anywhere from $80 - $600+!
Older generic laptops fall on the lower end, while new Macbooks are easily on the higher end.

Just something to keep in mind!

It got chilly all of a sudden!

Regardless of the temps outside, however, make sure your computer is cool. It has to work extra just to keep itself cooled when you crank up the heater.

Some computers, especially laptops, can't cool off that well!

Although our doors have signs, we will reiterate it here:
Masks are required for entry!

No matter how you feel about the situation, please do your part in keeping everyone safer and protecting our technicians.

We WILL turn you away if you don't have a mask on!

If you're feeling sick, please do not bring your computer in.

Even though we wipe down what we can, it's always better to not have the risk in the first place.

If a tech gets sick, that means no repairs for anyone!

Something you can never have too many of? Cables.

This is especially true if you have pets. Charging cables, HDMI cables, power cables, and more get demolished by your animal companions.

That's why it helps to keep a spare around.
You never know when you might need it!

Remember: Computers and water don't mix!

If you're bringing in your computer on a rainy day, make sure it's properly covered. Even if that covering is a plastic bag, it's better than nothing.

Just keep your computer dry!

It's a 3 day weekend!

Well, not for us. We'll still be hard at work fixing computers in the shop. If you ever need to get in touch with us, the best way is to call during shop hours. We're always willing to answer your questions to the best of our knowledge.

In case we don't see you on Monday, happy Columbus Day!

What games are you playing right now?

There have been plenty of announcements and releases in the past week or so. Have you tried any of the new games? Did they meet your expectations?

Let us know!

Why is repair given a maybe?
Because there can always be unforeseen circumstances.

Unfortunately, we won't know for sure until we've looked at the computer ourselves. That's why we always recommend a diagnostic first, even if we already think we know what the problem is.

Fall is in the air!
The cooler temps are already hitting us and pumpkins are out for sale. It's truly October.

It's only the beginning of the month, but do you have your Halloween plans lined up?
Do you still plan on dressing up? Are you going to give out candy or keep it for yourself?

Maybe it's time for a Halloween party over Zoom?

We're curious to see what everyone is going to be doing!

Something people aren't aware of is that the bulky and thin laptops generally have all the same parts.
The thin laptop is just more compressed together, including the keyboard and screen.

This is why some laptops are too delicate to open without breaking the screen!

With everyone on the internet almost constantly now, remember: There are real people on the other side of the screen!

You may not be able to see them, but they have feelings and their own problems to deal with.
Act like you would if they were there in-person.

Remember to talk to your loved ones!

It can be hard, due to the busy lifestyles we all lead, but make sure you talk to the people you care about.
You may get caught up in drama from time to time, but that's no excuse.

If you care about these people, you should be making an effort to keep in touch. Just like your computer, your friendships need to be updated every-so-often to keep them running efficiently.

It doesn't have to be every day or even every week, but reach out!

If you ever have a question, don't be afraid to ask!

There have been so many times where a situation could have been avoided if someone had just asked for clarification.

If you're confused, speak up!

Today is the official first day of fall!

While the leaves are still green, it's already chilly out.
Bundle up if you need to!

It's better to have too many layers than too few. After all, you can always take off a jacket if it gets too warm.

September is already starting to wind down!
Are you ready for fall?

We can't wait to see the leaves change to their brilliant warm hues. With all the trees near our new Fairfax location, we should be able to get a great view of the changing colors.

Make sure you're prepared for the weather, if you plan on heading outside. Fall usually means cooler temperatures, so it's time to break out the jackets.

Keep warm!

When dropping off your computer, please remember that our diagnostic takes a few days to do.

The actual time depends on the issue and how many computers are in front of you in queue.

You're always welcome to call us for an update on your repair, though!

Just wanted to wish you a wonderful day!

No long, extended point to make today.
We sincerely hope you're doing well.

Have a great week!
